Nantong Meteorological Station will issue a blue rainstorm warning signal at 05:33 on July 3, 2026. At present, there has been heavy rainfall of over 50 millimeters in Rugao and Rudong in our city. It is expected that most towns (streets) in Rugao, Rudong, and the northern part of Tongzhou will experience 6-hour rainfall of 50 millimeters and local heavy rainfall of over 100 millimeters this morning to evening, accompanied by strong convective weather such as lightning, short-term heavy rainfall of 30-60 millimeters per hour, and 7-9 level thunderstorm winds. The Municipal Flood Control Office, Municipal Emergency Bureau, and Municipal Meteorological Bureau remind people to pay attention to prevention.

At 05:14 on July 3, 2026, Rugao Meteorological Station upgraded and released the yellow rainstorm warning signal: it is expected that the accumulated rainfall in some towns (districts and streets) in our city (especially in Baipu Town, Dingyan Town, Wuyao Town, Chengnan Street, Shizhuang Town, Motou Town, etc.) will exceed 100 mm from this morning to the evening, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, thunder and lightning, local thunderstorms of magnitude 7-9, and strong winds of more than 50 mm/h. The Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, and Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly remind people to pay attention to prevention.
