At 23:05 on February 26, 2026, the Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture Meteorological Observatory upgraded the Blizzard Yellow to Blizzard Orange warning signal: It is expected that from the night of the 26th to the night of the 28th, mountainous areas in Huocheng County, Gongliu County, Nileke County, Xinyuan County, Tekes County and other places will experience blizzards of more than 12.1 millimeters within 6 hours. Please strengthen prevention.
Description
The snowfall will reach more than 10 mm within 6 hours, or it has reached more than 10 mm and the snowfall continues, which may or has already had a greater impact on traffic or agriculture and animal husbandry.
Guidelines
1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job of emergency work to prevent snow disasters and frost damage in accordance with their duties;
2.The transportation, railway, electric power and communication departments shall strengthen the inspection and maintenance of roads, railways and lines, and do a good job in road cleaning and snow melting;
3. Reduce unnecessary outdoor activities;
4. Reinforce scaffolding and other temporary structures that are easy to be pressed by snow, and drive outdoor livestock into sheds for feeding.
