Xiapu County Meteorological Observatory issues yellow typhoon warning signal

At 21:44 on November 12, 2025, the Xiapu County Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow typhoon warning signal: Typhoon "Phoenix", the 26th typhoon of this year, was located near the coast of Pingtung County, Taiwan (22.2 degrees north latitude, 121.0 degrees east longitude) at 21:00 today. The maximum wind speed near the center was 9 levels (23 meters per second, tropical storm level). It is expected that the "Phoenix" will move towards the northeast at a speed of 25-30 kilometers per hour, gradually weakening in intensity. Affected by both typhoons and cold air, the maximum wind speed in the coastal sea areas of our county and the fishing grounds in eastern Fujian can reach 7-8 levels and gusts of 9-10 levels from tonight to tomorrow day. Please take precautions!

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall make emergency preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;

2. Stop large-scale indoor and outdoor gatherings and high-altitude outdoor dangerous operations;

3. Water operations in relevant waters and passing ships take active countermeasures to reinforce port facilities to prevent ships from anchoring, grounding and collision;

4. Reinforce or dismantle structures that are easy to be blown by the wind, and personnel should not go out at will, to ensure that the elderly and children stay in the safest place in the home, and those in dangerous houses should be transferred in time.
