At 18:24 on August 8, 2026, the Wenzhou Meteorological Observatory upgraded the orange typhoon warning signal in Wenzhou urban area to a red typhoon warning signal: affected by the 13th typhoon this year, "White Dolphin", it is estimated that the wind force in Wenzhou urban area, coastal plain and coastal sea surface will be 10-12 and 13-15 levels respectively from this evening to tomorrow. Today, there will be heavy rain to rainstorm in all streets (towns) in the urban area, rainstorm to heavy rainstorm in the overcast tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, and some extremely heavy rainstorm. Attention should be paid to prevention by all relevant parties.

Description

Within 6 hours may be or has been affected by tropical cyclones, coastal or land average winds force is 12 or more, or gust force is 14 or more and may persist.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall make emergency preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;

2. Stop large-scale indoor and outdoor gatherings, suspension of work, class, operation, market, and business (except for special industries);

3. On-water operations in relevant waters and passing ships shall return to the port to avoid wind, strengthen port facilities, and prevent ships from anchoring, grounding and collision;

4. Reinforce or dismantle structures that are easy to be blown by the wind. Personnel should stay in a wind-proof and safe place as much as possible. When the center of the typhoon passes by, the wind will decrease or remain static for a period of time. Remember that strong winds will suddenly blow, and should continue to stay. Take shelter from the wind in a safe place, and promptly transfer people from dangerous houses;

5. Relevant areas should pay attention to preventing mountain torrents and geological disasters that may be caused by heavy rainfall.
