Changshu Meteorological Observatory issues yellow warning for severe convection

At 11:46 am on May 24, 2026, Changshu Meteorological Observatory issued a strong convective yellow warning signal: it is expected that most streets (towns) in our city, especially Xinzhuang, Shanghu, Chengqu, Shajiabang, Meili, Zhitang, Guli, Dongbang, Yanjiang and other places, will experience lightning activity in the next 6 hours, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall of more than 20 millimeters per hour and strong convective weather such as 7-9 level thunderstorm winds. The Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, Water Affairs Bureau, and Meteorological Bureau jointly remind people to pay attention to prevention.
