The meteorological observatory of Dingri County, Xizang, issued a yellow snow warning signal at 15:55 on March 20: It is expected that from 02:00 on March 21 to 02:00 on 22, there will be moderate to heavy snow or sleet in the low altitude towns (Rongxia and Qudang) in the south of the county, local blizzard (10.0~20.0 mm, local area 25.0 mm or more), northern (Jiacuo, Penji), eastern (Cuoguo, Quluo, Changshuo, Nixia) and local areas around Mount Everest.
