* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. North of Interstate 40, mainly snow will occur, with total accumulations between 8 and 14 inches, locally up to 18 inches. Blowing and drifting snow may occur. South of Interstate 40, a mixture of snow and sleet will occur, with total accumulation of 3 to 12 inches. Freezing rain of up to 0.20 inches may occur across far southeast Oklahoma. Intense snow and sleet rates will greatly reduce visibility and rapidly produce travel issues after onset. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Arkansas and east central, northeast, and southeast Oklahoma. * WHEN...Until 3 PM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous to near impossible travel conditions are expected areawide, with impacts likely to continue into next week given the forecasted snow and sleet amounts. Localized power outages may occur. Brutally cold temperatures will prevail through the weekend and into early next week. Warming shelters should be considered.
