Dry conditions are forecast this afternoon for portions areas of northeast Minnesota north of a line from Walker to Hibbing to Ely. Relative humidity values between 20 and 30 percent will lead to near-critical fire weather conditions today. East winds of 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph are forecast. Together, these conditions may cause fires to spread. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning. For more information on burning restrictions for Minnesota, see www.dnr.state.mn.us/forestry/fire/firerating_restrictions.html.
