Snow showers will affect the Rocky Mountain Front and Southwest MT through the afternoon hours today. Some of the snow showers will be heavy, reducing the visibility below one half mile for a short time. New snow accumulations will be light, generally less than one half inch, with much of the snowfall melting on pavement surfaces. However, some bridges could become snow covered and slippery. Some locations that could be affected this afternoon include Dillon, Helena, Boulder, Lincoln, along with portions of I-15 from Wolf Creek southward to Monida Pass, and Highway 12 from MacDonald Pass to Townsend. Those traveling through this region this afternoon should be alert for quickly changing road conditions along with reduced visibility at times.
