* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following county, Los Angeles. * WHEN...Until noon PST. * IMPACTS...Flooding, rock and mud slides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 805 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Please refer to Flash Flood Warnings in effect for portions of the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... At 708 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated rain across the warned area. While the rain has temporarily lightened, periods of heavy rain is expected to continue to impact the warned area through the day. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. SOURCE...Public reported, radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Debris flows in and around recent burn scars. Mud and rock slides are possible anywhere, especially through canyons and passes and near higher terrain. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Long Beach, Thousand Oaks, Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Encino, Redondo Beach, Woodland Hills, Torrance, Rancho Palos Verdes and Agoura Hills.
