Under the snow squall bands, visibility will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.Conditions are favourable for the development of snow squalls.Locations: the southern Avalon Peninsula.Total snowfall: potentially 10 cm in snow squalls.Maximum wind gusts: 60 to 80 km/h.Time span: ending later this afternoon.Remarks: Moderate winds and cold temperatures will combine with the squalls to cause poor visibility in blowing snow.Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow and blowing snow within just a few kilometres are common.###Travel may be hazardous.
