Yangzhou Meteorological Observatory issues blue warning for cold wave

At 16:58 on December 23, 2025, the Yangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning signal for a cold wave: affected by strong cold air, it is expected that the lowest temperature in most towns (streets) in Yangzhou urban area, Baoying, Gaoyou, Yizheng, Hanjiang, and Jiangdu will drop by about 8 ℃ within 48 hours from the 24th to the 26th, accompanied by northerly gusts of 5-6 levels on land and 6-7 levels in rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. The lowest temperature will appear in the morning of the 26th, reaching -3 to -4 ℃, with freezing. The Municipal Office of Disaster Reduction and Prevention and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly remind to strengthen prevention measures.
