Xiushan County Meteorological Observatory issues orange warning for heavy fog

At 3:30 pm on May 16, 2026, the Xiushan County Meteorological Observatory issued an orange warning signal for heavy fog. Fog with visibility below 200 meters has appeared in Pingkai Street, our county. It is expected that from 3:30 pm on May 16 to 10:30 pm on May 17, fog with visibility below 200 meters will still appear in some mountainous areas of 27 townships (streets) including Cenxi, Zhongping, Yongdong, Yajiang, Hong an, Daxi, E erong, Shidi, Liren, Yaotian, Zhonghe, Rongxi, Guanzhuang, Xikou, Longchi, Miaoquan, Songnong, Haiyang, Zhongling, Meijiang, Qingxichang, Aikou, Lanqiao, Pingkai, Longfengba, Shiye, and Wuyang. Please take precautions.
Description
Fog with a visibility of less than 200 meters may appear within 6 hours, or fog with a visibility of less than 200 meters and greater than or equal to 50 meters may have appeared and will continue.

2. Airports, highways, ferry terminals and other units strengthen dispatching and command;
3. Drivers must strictly control the traveling speed of vehicles and ships;
