At 16:00 on July 12, 2026, Weihai Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow typhoon warning signal for Huancui District (including Gao District, Jing District, and Lingang District): Typhoon Bawei, the 9th typhoon of this year, made landfall along the coast of Kanmen Street, Yuhuan City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province around 23:20 on the 11th. It will enter Shandong Province as a tropical storm on the evening of the 13th, continue to move northeastward along the southern coast of our province, move from the Yanwei border into the northern sea area of the Yellow Sea, and gradually transform into a temperate cyclone. Under the joint influence of typhoon "Bawei" and westerly trough, there will be a heavy rainfall and gale weather process in the towns (streets) and coastal sea areas under the jurisdiction of Huancui District from 13th to 14th. It is expected that there will be heavy to rainstorm (40~70mm) in the whole area. The main heavy rainfall period will be from the midnight of 13th to the morning of 14th, with the maximum hourly rainfall of 20~40mm. At the same time, the wind is strong. During the daytime from the 13th to the 14th, the south wind will turn to the west wind, with maximum wind speeds of 7-8 levels in coastal areas and gusts of 9 levels in inland areas.
