The Nanchuan District Meteorological Observatory issued a "blue warning signal for strong winds" at 21:00 on September 8, 2026. It is expected that from 21:20 on September 8 to 9:20 on September 9, Jinfoshan Scenic Area and four towns and streets including Jinshan, Sanquan, Toudu, and Shanwangping may be affected by strong winds, with gusts of up to level 7 or above. Please take precautions.
Description
It may be affected by strong winds within 24 hours, with an average wind force of 6 or higher, or gusts of 7 or higher; or it has been affected by strong winds, with an average wind of 6-7, or 7-8 gusts and may continue.
Guidelines
1. The government and relevant departments should do a good job of preventing gale in accordance with their duties;
2. Close doors and windows, reinforce hoardings, scaffolds, billboards and other structures that are easily blown by the wind, properly arrange outdoor objects that are easily affected by high winds, and cover building materials;
3. Water operations in relevant waters and passing ships take active countermeasures, such as returning to the port to avoid wind or sailing in a detour, etc.;
4. Pedestrians should avoid riding bicycles as much as possible, and do not stay under billboards, temporary structures, etc. when the wind is blowing;
5. Relevant departments and units pay attention to the fire prevention of forests and grasslands.

The Chongqing Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Command, Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau, Chongqing Forestry Bureau, and Chongqing Meteorological Bureau jointly upgraded and issued the "Forest and Grassland Fire Red Warning Signal" at 14:30 on September 7, 2026. Twenty districts and counties in our city, including Liangjiang New District, Wanzhou District, Fuling District, Shapingba District, Nan an District, Beibei District, Banan District, Changshou District, Jiangjin District, Hechuan District, Nanchuan District, Bishan District, Tongliang District, Wulong District, Fengdu County, Yunyang County, Fengjie County, Wushan County, Wuxi County, and Chongqing High tech Zone, have experienced high or extremely high forest and grassland fire risk levels for several consecutive days. It is expected that the above-mentioned districts and counties will continue to have high or extremely high forest and grassland fire risk levels from September 7th to 10th, and the risk of forest and grassland fires is extremely high. The remaining districts and counties will continue to maintain high forest and grassland fire risk levels.
