The Liaoyuan Meteorological Observatory in Jilin Province issued a yellow lightning warning signal at 10:30 am on June 19, 2025: Currently, convective cloud clusters are forming and developing in the upstream of our city. It is expected that from 11:00 to 17:00, all townships (streets) in Longshan District, Xi an District, and High tech Development Zone in our city will have moderate to strong lightning activity, which may cause lightning disasters and accidents, and may be accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and other severe convective weather. The Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly remind urban and rural residents to strengthen prevention.

Lightning activities may occur within 6 hours, which may cause lightning disasters.

It is expected that within the next 6 hours, all towns (streets) in Longshan District, Xi an District, and High tech Development Zone of our city will experience thunderstorm and strong wind weather, with gusts of wind up to level 7 or above. The Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Municipal Meteorological Bureau jointly remind you to pay attention to preventing the adverse effects that may be caused by heavy precipitation, lightning, and strong winds.
