On July 20th at 07:00, Typhoon "Weipa" (typhoon level) was located on the sea about 470 kilometers east of Zhanjiang city. It is expected to be affected by it within 12 hours, with wind speeds above level 10. Starting from 7:29 on July 20th, the orange typhoon warning signal for Zhanjiang city will take effect. Description
Within 12 hours may be or has been affected by tropical cyclones, coastal or land average wind force is 10 or more, or gust force is 12 or more and may persist.
Guidelines
1. The government and relevant departments shall make emergency preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;
2. Stop large-scale indoor and outdoor gatherings, suspension of work, class, operation, market, and business (except for special industries);
3. On-water operations in relevant waters and passing ships shall return to the port to avoid wind, strengthen port facilities, and prevent ships from anchoring, grounding and collision;
4. Reinforce or dismantle structures that are easy to be blown by the wind. Personnel should stay in a wind-proof and safe place as much as possible. When the center of the typhoon passes by, the wind will decrease or remain static for a period of time. Remember that strong winds will suddenly blow, and should continue to stay. Take shelter from the wind in a safe place, and promptly transfer people from dangerous houses;
5. Relevant areas should pay attention to preventing mountain torrents and geological disasters that may be caused by heavy rainfall.
