Wusu Meteorological Observatory issues yellow lightning warning

At 09:10 on August 20, 2026, the Wusu Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for lightning: it is expected that from day to night, there will be lightning activity in towns and urban areas such as Chepaizi Town, Gultu Town, Baiyanggou Town, Xidagou Town, Tabulehete Township, as well as local areas in the southern mountainous areas of Wusu City. During this period, there may be short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms of around level 8, hail and other strong convective weather. Please remind relevant departments to strengthen prevention measures.

Lightning activities may occur within 6 hours, which may cause lightning disasters.
