The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening while the monsoon trouth lies across the North and the upper Norhtheast into the low pressure cell over middle Vietnam. Isolated heavy rains are likely in Thailand with isolated very heavy rain in the upper Northeast regions. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the lower Gulf, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, severe tropical storm “KAJIKI”, over the upper South China Sea is expected to make landfall over Vietnam and upper Laos during 25–26 August 2025, causing more rain with heavy to very heavy rain and strong winds over the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand during 24–27 August 2025.
