The Chongqing Meteorological Observatory issued a "high temperature red warning signal" at 9:30 am on July 24, 2026. It is expected that from 13:00 to 21:00 on the 24th, the highest daily temperature in 21 districts and counties with an altitude of less than 600 meters, including Liangjiang New Area, Yuzhong, Shapingba, Dadukou, Jiulongpo, Nan an, High tech Zone, Beibei, Tongnan, Hechuan, Tongliang, Bishan, Rongchang, Yongchuan, Jiangjin, Changshou, Liangping, Wanzhou, Kaizhou, Yunyang, Fengjie, etc., will rise to 40-42 ℃; 14 districts and counties including Banan, Dazu, Qijiang, Wansheng Economic Development Zone, Dianjiang, Fuling, Fengdu, Zhongxian, Chengkou, Wuxi, Wushan, Wulong, Pengshui, Shizhu, etc., with an altitude of less than 600 meters, will see the daily maximum temperature rise to 37-39 ℃.
