As the low passes across the region, a very strong push of wind is expected to follow the low, which will produce a sudden shift of wind direction and gusts of up to 100 km/h. This push of wind will first impact the Lakes District, including Ootsa Lake and Burns Lake, late this afternoon and will continue eastwards towards Stuart-Nechako, Prince George, Mackenzie, and the McGregor region respectively throughout the evening. The strong wind push should reach the Peace District just after midnight.
