Kashgar Meteorological Observatory issues yellow warning for high temperature

At 15:32 on July 17, 2025, the Kashgar Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for high temperatures: it is expected that from the afternoon of July 17 to the day of July 21, most parts of the Kashgar Plain will experience high temperatures of over 35 ℃, with the highest temperatures in the desert edge areas of Jiashi, Yuepu Lake, Bachu, and Maigai reaching over 37 ℃. The public and relevant departments are advised to take precautions.

Description

The daily maximum temperature will be above 35°C for three consecutive days.

Guidelines

1. Relevant departments and units shall make preparations for heatstroke prevention and cooling in accordance with their duties;

2. Minimize outdoor activities in the afternoon;

3. Provide heatstroke prevention and cooling guidance for the elderly, the weak, the sick, and the young;

4. Those who work under high temperature conditions and need to do outdoor work for a long time during the day should take necessary protective measures.
