At 09:21 on August 8, 2026, the meteorological station of Gengma County changed and issued the yellow warning signal of rainstorm: in the next six hours, there will be a rainstorm in our county. The risk of rainstorm disasters in townships (towns) such as Gengma, Mengyong, Mengsa, Mengding, Daxing, Manghong, Sipaishan, Hepai, Mengjian is high. Please prevent possible waterlogging, mountain torrents and geological disasters.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job in preventing rainstorms in accordance with their duties;

2. The traffic management department shall adopt traffic control measures on heavy rainfall road sections according to road conditions, and implement traffic guidance on road sections with stagnant water;

3. Cut off dangerous outdoor power supplies in low-lying areas, suspend outdoor operations in open areas, and transfer people in dangerous areas and residents of dangerous houses to safe places to avoid rain;

4. Check the drainage system of cities, farmlands, and fish ponds, and take necessary drainage measures.

At 8:40 am on August 8, 2026, the Natural Resources Bureau and the Meteorological Observatory of Gengma County jointly issued a Level II geological disaster meteorological risk warning: Due to continuous rainfall, it is expected that the meteorological risk level of geological disasters in Mengding, Mengjian, Gengma, Hepai, Sipaishan, Mengsa, Manghong, Mengyong, and Daxing in our county will be Level II (high risk) in the next 24 hours, which is prone to geological disasters such as landslides, mudslides, and collapses. Please strengthen duty, patrol and investigation, and take preventive measures.
