This area was not part of the Wind Advisory that was issued earlier today that expires at 3 PM CST. Winds will diminish below 15 mph in Starr, Zapata, and Jim Hogg Counties and below 20 mph in Brooks and Northern Hidalgo Counties between 3 pm and 6 pm.

Afternoon winds are dropping below Wind Advisory criteria and the issued Wind Advisory will be allowed to expire at 3 PM CST. However, some wind gusts up to 40 mph are still possible through 6 PM CST.
