In Penobscot Valley Maine, Central Penobscot and Southern Penobscot. * WHEN...From this evening through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of small rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rain is expected to develop across the region today through tonight ending Tuesday morning. Widespread totals of 1 to 1.5 inches of rain are anticipated with locally higher amounts of 2 to 2.5 inches possible in the southern upslope of the Longfellow Mountains and across the Downeast.
