The strong monsoon trough lies across upper Myanmar and the upper North of Thailand into an active low-pressure cell over upper Myanmar and upper Laos while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country. The rather strong wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, Tropical depression “BUALOI” was downgraded to an active low- pressure cell over Luang Namtha, Laos is expected to move through the monsoon trough that lie across over upper Myanmar and the upper North of Thailand by today (30 September 2025).
