Strong winds are also expected for coastal and southern panhandle communities. While the exact timing and impacts of the system are still being refined, confidence is continuing to increase that this will be a more impactful system for Southeast Alaska. For the northern and central Panhandle, while rivers are expected to rise no flooding is anticipated at this time.
