At 9:00 am on April 21, 2025, the Aksu Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for sandstorms: it is expected that sandstorms (visibility less than 1000 meters) will occur in Aksu City, Alar City, Wensu County, and Awati County in Aksu Prefecture within the next 24 hours. Relevant departments are requested to strengthen prevention measures.

Description

Sandstorms may occur within 12 hours (visibility is less than 1000m), or sandstorms have occurred and may continue.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall do a good job in preventing sand and dust storms in accordance with their duties;

2. Close doors and windows, reinforce enclosures, scaffolds, billboards and other structures that are easily blown by the wind, properly arrange outdoor objects that are easily affected by high winds, cover building materials, and do a good job of sealing precision instruments;

3. Take care to bring dust-proof supplies such as masks and gauze to avoid damage to the eyes and respiratory tract caused by sand and dust;

4. Patients with respiratory diseases and those who are more sensitive to wind and sand should not go outdoors.
